Dual Acting Air Valve

Dual Acting Air Valve

A Dual Acting Air Valve is designed to perform two important functions in a pipeline system: releasing trapped air during normal operation and admitting air during filling or draining conditions. By automatically managing air inside the pipeline, it helps prevent air pockets that can restrict flow, cause pressure loss, or lead to water hammer.

This type of air valve also allows air to enter the pipeline during negative pressure or emptying, preventing vacuum formation that could damage pipes or equipment. Dual acting air valves improve system efficiency, enhance pipeline safety, and are widely used in water supply, irrigation, sewage, and industrial piping systems.
